The role focuses on staffing decisions, sales growth, and maintaining store presentation. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and financial acumen are essential for success in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store areas helpful.
• Strong communication and clear direction to team.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and handle multiple tasks.
• Experience analyzing financial data to drive decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members across roles.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Lead and coach team members to meet customer service goals and sales targets.
• Manage P&L, sales, and shrink targets for the department.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime hours and product presentation.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Ensure staff training and safety standards are followed.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet development goals and promotions.
