Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail General Manager to run daily store operations, oversee production and the sales floor, and manage inventory and donor flow. You will lead staff, coordinate scheduling, and ensure safety and compliance across departments to drive revenue and program outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, P&L ownership, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service while mentoring a diverse team across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• 2–3 years of progressive retail management experience with 15+ staff.
• 5+ years in retail or related industry.
• Experience coaching and developing associates in a retail setting.
• P&L ownership and budgeting responsibilities.
• Ability to set staff schedules and manage time effectively.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficient math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of thrift and resale industry and customer service excellence.
• Able to work flexibly including opening/closing shifts and peak hours.
• May work at other locations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing and production to sales floor.
• Maintain production levels and merchandise quality to optimize revenue.
• Manage inventory levels across all merchandise lines.
• Ensure donations flow smoothly while following safety and state regulations.
• Hire, train, and manage store staff per Goodwill policies.
• Supervise volunteers and temporary staff as needed.
• Prepare and review reports such as surveys, production, and sales.
• Analyze profit and loss statements and adjust operations accordingly.
• Meet daily banking requirements and payroll deadlines.
• Maintain ongoing communication with divisions and other stores.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
