Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries in Cincinnati seeks a results-driven Retail General Manager to run daily store operations, including production, the selling floor, customer service, inventory and budgeting.

You will define roles, manage staff of 15+ employees, ensure safety and loss prevention, and drive revenue through effective merchandising and donations flow.

The role requires strong leadership, English communication, and a dedication to service. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 2–3 years of progressive retail management experience supervising multiple departments and staff.
• 5+ years in retail or equivalent industry.
• Experience coaching and developing associates in a retail environment.
• Full Profit & Loss ownership.
• Ability to set and manage staff schedules.
• Strong English communication (oral and written).
• Math and computer skills required.
• Knowledge of thrift and resale industry and competitive awareness.
• Customer service oriented with integrity and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform the same functions as direct reports.
• Ability to complete paperwork and reports promptly.
• Good judgment for day-to-day operations.
• Flexible schedule including opening/closing shifts and peak hours.
• May work at other locations.

Mansioni

• Oversee overall retail store operation including opening/closing procedures.
• Supervise production levels and merchandise quality on the floor to maximize revenue.
• Manage inventory levels across merchandise lines.
• Ensure smooth flow of donations with safety and state law compliance.
• Maintain staffing and payroll in line with budgets; hire/train/manage staff in Goodwill policy.
• Oversee volunteers/temporary staff as needed.
• Submit reports such as surveys, production and sales on a timely basis.
• Review P&L statements and adjust operations accordingly.
• Ensure daily banking is completed.
• Schedule staff to meet store needs.
• Track time and attendance and submit payroll on time.
• Maintain effective communication with divisions/stores.
• Deliver exceptional customer service; resolve complaints.
