Job summary

Goodwill Central Texas is looking for a results-driven Retail General Manager to lead daily store operations, from opening to closing, and to drive sales, customer service, and donor engagement. You will guide both the sales floor and donor-facing processes in a mission-driven environment.

This boots-on-the-ground leadership role requires 3–5 years of retail management, strong coaching, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while leading a diverse team toward measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail management experience.
• Experience managing sales floor and production teams.
• Proficient with P&L statements and performance coaching.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift 35–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the store from opening to closing.
• Manage sales floor and back-of-house production teams.
• Monitor inventory and merchandising to maximize revenue.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff including Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Processors, and Sales Associates.
• Cultivate a customer-first culture with top-tier service.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and loss prevention procedures.
• Own store P&L and make data-driven decisions to meet performance goals.
• Handle payroll, attendance, and scheduling.
• Serve as the go-to leader for resolving team or customer concerns.
• Maintain communication across departments and stores.
