Job summary

Goodwill Central Texas is seeking a Retail General Manager to lead the operations of a busy retail location. This boots-on-the-ground leadership role oversees sales floor, production, inventory, and staff to deliver exceptional service and drive mission impact.

You will recruit and develop teams, manage store P&L, scheduling, and compliance, and partner with leadership across the region to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail management experience.
• Leads day-to-day store operations and production teams.
• Experience with P&L statements, budgeting, and performance coaching.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and lift 35–50 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of a high-performing retail store from open to close.
• Manage sales floor and back-of-house production teams for efficient merchandise flow.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, and merchandising to maximize revenue.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff including assistants and supervisors.
• Maintain a customer-first culture and ensure top-tier service.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and loss prevention protocols.
• Own store P&L and make data-driven decisions to meet goals.
• Handle payroll, attendance, and scheduling using internal systems.
• Resolve team or customer concerns and align cross-store goals.
