Food Lion welcomes a dedicated front-end associate to provide fast, friendly service and assist customers with purchases. You will greet shoppers, handle cash transactions, and help maintain a clean, efficient front-end area to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role supports the Customer Service Manager and requires adherence to cash handling procedures, proper bagging, and strong customer interaction skills in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsabilités

• Provide fast, friendly service to customers and engage with shoppers to create a positive experience.
• Greet customers and use their name when possible.
• Assist with cashier duties and payment transactions according to standard practice.
• Keep front-end area neat, clean and well-stocked; ensure proper bagging and supplies.
• Follow procedures for cash handling, refunds, and overrides; maintain accuracy in transactions.
