Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and support Customer Service standards. You will greet customers, assist with bagging, manage transactions and help maintain a neat front-end area at the store level.

The role emphasizes courtesy, accuracy, and teamwork with store associates to maximize sales and ensure a positive shopping experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and assist bagging items.
• Scan customers' order and handle the payment transaction per standard practice.
• Follow bagging procedures and ensure proper cash handling and refunds are processed.
• Maintain neat, clean front end area and wear Food Lion uniform and name badge.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take their order to their car.
• Assist with Food Lion To-Go orders when applicable.
