Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate, friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers by name whenever possible.
• Unload groceries onto the belt for ease of bagging.
• Check bottom of cart and under seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow correct bagging procedures by bag type.
• Scan orders and handle payments per standard practice.
• Avoid personal conversations with other associates when customers are present.
• Follow cash handling and refund procedures.
• Maintain accurate cash control.
• Perform overrides as required.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Maintain neat front-end area and work station.
• Report register malfunctions to the Customer Service Manager or MOD.
• Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is stocked and functioning.
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
• Notify QA of cleaning issues or maintenance required on front end.
• Complete computer based training (CBT) and training aids.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
