Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a friendly and reliable Front End associate to deliver fast, courteous service and maintain store standards. The role supports the Customer Service Manager and assists in ensuring accurate cash handling and efficient checkout processes.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, bagging items, and upholding front end standards while maintaining a neat and welcoming checkout area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and job requirements.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must meet physical requirements (standing, lifting).

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for easy bagging.
• Follow bagging procedures and handle payments per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds, exchanges and cash handling.
