Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced retail leader to staff, train, and manage day-to-day store operations. You will mentor team members, plan staffing, and implement plans to improve customer service and sales while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas and customer service experience are helpful.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution and multitasking skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Experience mentoring team members and driving sales with service.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members and ensures staffing needs are met.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintains store appearance, product presentation and standards.
• Spends time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
• Promotes a safe work environment and ensures training is completed.
