Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) are helpful.
• Clear and precise direction to team members; effective conflict resolution.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members and lead a safety-conscious operation.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches staff; ensures customer service standards.
• Recruiting, staffing and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes career paths and development for team members; participates in promotion decisions.
• Documents actions and applies disciplinary measures when needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink.
• Models fast, friendly customer service and communicates Meijer initiatives.
• Ensures thorough training and adherence to company standards.
• Maintains store appearance and prime shopping hours; communicates with customers and staff.
