Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana in Houma is seeking a Sales Floor Lead to help run day-to-day store operations and sales performance in line with company standards.

The role includes supervising shifts, processing transactions, stocking merchandise, and training Sales Floor Associates to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.

Candidates should communicate effectively in English and have prior service industry or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Must successfully complete Retail training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day store operation and sales performance.
• Perform duties of supervisor when assigned by Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager.
• Use cash register to complete sales and handle payments, refunds and credits.
• Maintain proper rotation and display of store merchandise.
• Train and mentor Sales Floor Associates and volunteers.
• Record cash receipts and balance bank deposits; assist in payroll records.
