Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Sales Floor Lead to support day-to-day store operations and drive sales performance in line with budget and company standards. You will serve as a supervisor when assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Floor Manager, and may act in a supervisory capacity during scheduled hours.

The role requires strong customer service, cash handling, merchandise rotation, and the ability to train and mentor Sales Floor Associates.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
Retail training or prior experience in retail/service preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day store operation and sales performance to meet or exceed budget.
Operate cash register: process sales, voids, returns, exchanges and credits.
Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise and maintain clean, presentable displays.
Model professional behavior and mentor Sales Floor Associates; train new hires.
Record and balance cash receipts, and prepare basic store paperwork as needed.
Monitor floor operations, safety, and adherence to company policies.
