Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana is seeking a Sales Floor Lead to assist with day‑to‑day store operations and sales performance. You will act as a supervisor when needed and help maintain a positive store image with friendly, presentable staff.

Responsibilities include cash handling, merchandise rotation, staff training, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. The role requires flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, and prior service industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Retail training completed.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register to complete sales and process payments, voids, returns, exchanges and credits.
• Ensure proper rotation of store merchandise and maintain a presentable appearance.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees in performance.
• Stock the sales floor and create a clean, attractive store image.
• Maintain safe conditions in shopping areas and keep the store hazard-free.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts and ensure daily floor checks and monthly safety inspections are completed.
• Assist in training and mentoring Sales Floor Associates and temporary workers.
• Supervise, discipline, and assist in staffing decisions as needed by management.
• Assist in receiving, pricing and displaying store merchandise.
