Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to independently service and repair retail store technologies and computer systems in various environments.

The role covers on-site installations, upgrades, and support for Toshiba and non-Toshiba products across retail and SMB sectors. Responsibilities include traveling to locations, diagnosing issues, documenting activities, and maintaining stock.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel 100% of the time, domestic and/or air travel.
• High School Diploma with 4+ years related experience; IT/technical degree preferred.
• Experience with personal computer technology, network infrastructure, and retail POS equipment.
• General knowledge and experience in IT service and support; ability to troubleshoot and repair electronics.

Responsibilities

• Operates in assigned territory and performs repairs and services on products; installs equipment at new or remodeled sites.
• Travels to customer locations for installations, relocations, or modifications to POS equipment.
• Communicates status and seeks assistance; builds positive customer relationships and adheres to Toshiba’s service delivery methodology.
• Plans, prioritizes, and schedules work; arranges travel in a cost-effective manner; supports varying shifts including overtime and weekends.
• Documents installation activities per Toshiba standards using automated systems and reports.
• Maintains trunk stock to support all customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
