Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to work in retail store environments, performing installation, repairs, and service on Toshiba and non-TOSHIBA devices. The role requires travel within the territory and possibly nationwide, with on-site problem diagnosis and equipment configuration.

The position is non-exempt and hourly, starting around the posted rate, with overtime and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4+ years of related experience; IT/Technical degree or certificate preferred.
• Must travel 100% of the time domestically; air travel may be necessary for installations or other service delivery projects outside assigned geography.
• Operational knowledge of PC technology, network infrastructure, POS equipment and retail devices.

Responsibilities

• Operates in assigned territory and performs repairs and services on products; installs equipment in new/remodeled sites without assistance.
• Travels to customer locations within territory or nationally for installations, relocations, and configurations.
• Communicates status, customer satisfaction, and issues with management and customers; maintains relations with end-users and store management.
• Plans travel and schedules work to meet customer satisfaction; responds to schedule changes promptly.
