Job summary

Mobile Technologies, INC. seeks flexible project-based Retail Field & Network Technicians to perform installations, retrofits, repairs, and upgrades of retail security products including networks and RFID access equipment.

Technicians will travel to various markets, handle cabling, provisioning, and testing, and communicate effectively with clients. Training is provided; certifications are a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous IT or related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with cabling runs/management/testing/terminating, network provisioning.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills and knowledge of networking technologies.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Ability to follow directions and travel to various markets.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and climb ladders.
• Certifications are a plus but not required; all training provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and retrofit retail security network devices (routers, switches, access points).
• Set up and test networks, including Wi‑Fi signal testing and heat mapping.
• Travel to project locations with a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade hardware as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and team members.

Flexible Project Based - Retail Field & Network Technicians

Retail Field Technicians , Smart Lock Managed Access & Network Technicians encouraged to apply - Technicians handle a wide range of installations, Workstation's, Retrofits, repairs, break fix and upgrades for retail security products, including networks, networked devices, RFID smart locks , access point management programming & installation, routers, switches. They also set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments, connecting devices with physical cables or wireless frequencies to ensure adequate signal strength for clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle for Transportation to and from project locations.
• Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Follow Direction easily
• Frequent use of hand tools.
• Travel is required in various markets.
• Lifting 60lbs or more.
• Able to climb up and down ladders.

Required Education and Experience

• Over the age of 18.
• Certifications are a plus but not required.
• Lock experience a plus but not required
• All training is provided.

Physical Demands:

• Travel is required.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds on occasion.

• Reaching above head for items.
• Ability to use a computer and telephone system.
• Regularly stand, walk, twisting,bend over, reach overhead.

Work Environment:

• Various environments with average noise to high and lighting levels.
• Facility ceiling space / crawl spaces.
