Job summary

Mobile Technologies, INC. seeks flexible, project-based Retail Field & Network Technicians to perform installations, repairs, and upgrades for retail security products and networks across diverse environments. The role involves configuring access points, routers, switches, and testing Wi‑Fi coverage.

Travel to multiple markets is required; candidates should be comfortable with physical work, climbing, and lifting up to 60 lbs. Training is provided and certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installations, retrofits, repairs and upgrades for retail security products.
• Test and configure networked devices, access points, routers and switches.
• Perform cabling runs, testing, termination and network provisioning.
• Travel to various markets and use hand tools as needed.
• Ensure adequate signal strength and troubleshoot connections.

Flexible Project Based - Retail Field & Network Technicians

Retail Field Technicians , Smart Lock Managed Access & Network Technicians encouraged to apply - Technicians handle a wide range of installations, Workstation's, Retrofits, repairs, break fix and upgrades for retail security products, including networks, networked devices, RFID smart locks , access point management programming & installation, routers, switches. They also set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments, connecting devices with physical cables or wireless frequencies to ensure adequate signal strength for clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle for Transportation to and from project locations.
• Previous IT or Related technical technician experience is required.
• Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
• Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
• Follow Direction easily
• Frequent use of hand tools.
• Travel is required in various markets.
• Lifting 60lbs or more.
• Able to climb up and down ladders.
• Testing networks Wi-Fi signals, heat mapping.
• Installing, troubleshooting access points, routers, switches.

Competency:

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Can operate hand tools.

Required Education and Experience
