Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions in Indiana seeks an Associate Field Service Technician to maintain retail store technologies and POS equipment, performing installations, basic diagnostics and on-site repairs. You will work under supervision until capable of unsupervised work and travel to customer sites as needed.

The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, timely service events, documentation of activities, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 2+ years' electronics experience.
• Must travel 100% domestically and/or internationally as needed for installations or service.
• Knowledge of PC technology, network infrastructure, flat panel TVs & monitors, POS equipment, and retail devices.
• Ability to follow written or spoken directions and communicate clearly.
• Good customer service and multitasking abilities; strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work long hours in a physically demanding environment; overtime/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates in assigned territory and performs basic repairs and services on products, including diagnostics and using standard maintenance packages.
• Travel to customer locations for installations, relocations, upgrades and modifications to retail POS equipment.
• Communicate status and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage service events to meet customer commitments and minimize downtime.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule work; arrange travel; respond to schedule changes promptly; overtime/weekends as necessary.
• Document installation activities per Toshiba standards using automated systems/reports.
• Maintain trunk stock to support all customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
