Job summary

Meijer, a family-owned retailer, is seeking a store manager to lead day-to-day operations and mentor team members across departments. You will drive customer service, sales, and standards while aligning with Meijer's commitments to service and community.

You will oversee staffing, training, and performance coaching, manage P&L, and implement plans to meet sales goals while maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store and customer service experience helpful.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• P&L management, sales targets and shrink control.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed service and sales goals.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and Meijer standards.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation.
• Promote safe work environment and timely training.
• Communicate Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
