Job summary

Tuckernuck is seeking a Director of Retail Expansion & Construction to lead the end-to-end development of new retail locations, from site evaluation through turnover and opening. You will manage multiple complex projects, coordinate with the VP of Retail and cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with brand standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in retail real estate development, commercial construction, store planning, or retail construction project management, with experience leading projects from site diligence through opening.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: strong communication, leadership, and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to develop and manage project budgets, construction schedules, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development process for new retail locations, from site evaluation and due diligence through construction, turnover, and opening.
• Partner with the VP of Retail to execute retail expansion strategy and multi-year store development pipeline.
• Oversee architectural and engineering coordination, space planning, permitting, contractor selection, bidding, construction, inspections, and turnover.
• Develop standardized tools, timelines, budgets, checklists, and project management processes for a growing store fleet.
