Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Returns Admin to manage the returns process, ensure accurate coding, and communicate root causes to HomeStores and distribution centers. You will collect customer information to improve the customer experience and coordinate with Customer Service to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, proper disposition, and collaboration with senior management to sustain continuous improvement and uphold Ashley’s core values in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Track and compile return data to identify areas of concern and possible root causes.
• Observe and inspect returned items to ensure proper return coding and disposition.
• Gather information from customers about potential reasons for returns.
• Resolve issues arising during the return process and communicate findings to improve processes.
• Prepare items for billing by clearing systems and correctly identifying products by item number.
• Report findings to supervisor to support continuous improvement and uphold company values.

Job description

Returns is responsible for solving any potential issues that may arise during the return process, such as proper return code assignment, errors that lead to the return of merchandise, responsible to follow up with HomeStores in order to communicate the root cause of errors or potential errors and support the creation of a sustainable and error free process, responsible to follow up with HS Distribution Centers in order to communicate the root cause of errors or potential errors and support the creation of a sustainable and error free process. Returns are also responsible for presenting to Senior Managers the returns results and research findings. Returns is responsible for reconsolidating systems to make sure returned items have the proper designation code and are properly disposed and allocated in the system. The return Admin will be responsible for gathering information from customers to improve the customer experience and will be required to follow through with Customer Service functions.

The Returns Admin is accountable for the accuracy and relevant data for products returned.

Responsibilities:

• Track and compile return data with the purpose to identifyareas of concern as well as possible root causes.
• Physically observe and inspect items returned after delivery to ensure proper return coding.
• Gather information from customers about potential reasons for the return of merchandise.
• Solve any potential issues that may arise during the return process.
• Clear out the systems to make items ready for the billing department.
• Properly identify products by item number.
• Accurately identify return scores.
• Addresses driver issues regarding load out, such as pieces missing, missing hardware, cross dock items and items returned.
• Communicate with customers as needed to gather additional data as well as to perform customer service functions.
• Reports findings to immediate supervisor in order to correct errors and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
