Job summary

Floor & Decor in Columbia, SC is seeking a Training and Development Coordinator for Product Sales Specialists. This role ensures exceptional customer service and provides product information to shoppers.

You will lead certification courses, reinforce the basic P’s of retail, and coordinate merchandising, pricing, and showroom readiness while upholding company safety standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act in line with Floor & Decor values and policies.
• Ensure safety procedures and forklift certifications where applicable.
• Lead and coach Product Sales Specialists on basics of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Direct and support merchandising, pricing, and showroom readiness.
• Deliver product knowledge and customer service excellence at the showroom floor.
• Conduct training and certification courses for product specialists.
• Communicate inventory needs and assist with showroom floor layout and pricing.
