Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate for the Portland, ME location to deliver friendly customer service and assist shoppers in finding products. You will handle checkout with cash handling to standards and participate in store recovery and merchandising tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with omnichannel processes (BOPIS/SFS), engaging customers in rewards programs, and cross-training in framing-related sales.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store
• 16 years or older to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; cash handling to standards
• Engage customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram execution
• Maintain store recovery and in-stock status with merchandise handling
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Interact respectfully with customers and team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Other duties as assigned
