Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve. As a Big Lots Customer Service Associate you will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, complete transactions, and answer questions about the store and merchandise.

You may also unload trucks, process freight, stock shelves, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment consistent with company standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for long periods.
• Availability: Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with merchandise selections.
• Complete transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Unload trucks, process freight, stock shelves and recover merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and safe shopping environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer questions about store and products.
