Job summary

Michaels is seeking a team member for a full-time retail role at our Merrillville store. You will greet customers, help locate items, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience while handling cash to standards.

You will engage customers in the Rewards program and assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes. The role includes unloading trucks, stocking shelves, maintaining planograms, and contributing to store recovery and loss-prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Strong communication and problem solving to assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout and adhere to cash-handling standards.
• Educate customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes (BOPIS, SFS) and engage in store recovery duties.
• Support truck unload, stocking, and planogram maintenance.
• Participate in shrink control and safety programs as required.
