Job summary

Big Lots is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve.

As a Big Lots Customer Service Associate you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, and processing transactions at the POS. You will also help unload freight and stock shelves to maintain a clean, organized store.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer experience in retail, grocery, or service industries.
• Physical: Lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Availability: Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, communication, problem solving, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist in selecting merchandise.
• Process transactions and handle cash using the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organize shelves.
• Unload trucks, process freight, and recover merchandise from stockroom to floor.
• Ensure a safe and secure shopping environment and follow store policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
