Job summary

Family Dollar in London, KY is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, run transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

You will assist with questions, operate the cash register, unload deliveries, and maintain safety and accuracy in daily duties. Previous retail experience is preferred.

This is part-time, on-site, with opportunities for growth and employee benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
