Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help with stocking and merchandising.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, safety, and maintaining clean store conditions. Part-time position based at our Glencoe, KY location, with responsibilities across daily store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents
• Capable of lifting 30–50 lbs and frequent walking/standing
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful store environment
• Keep store areas clean and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
