Job summary

Family Dollar in Kentucky seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver friendly service and assist customers with questions, recommendations, and transactions.

You will keep the store well stocked and clean, manage basic cash handling, stock replenishment, unloading merchandise, and help maintain a safe, respectful shopping environment for customers and teammates. This is a part-time role with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
