Job summary

Family Dollar is hiring a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers with questions, recommend products, and help ensure smooth transactions at the register.

Responsibilities include stocking, unloading trucks, replenishing shelves, and keeping the store clean and safe. The role requires dependable teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and movement.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, waste disposal, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned*.
