Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and help unload trucks while maintaining a friendly, safe store environment.

The role requires strong customer service, ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and good organizational skills. Previous retail or similar experience is highly preferred; participation in a variety of store duties is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and general areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
