Job summary

The role requires engaging with customers on the sales floor and registers, maintaining a clean, safe environment, and following company standards across all work centers. Key duties include assisting customers, maintaining loss prevention awareness, restocking, and ensuring accurate cash handling and checkout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors.
• Maintains a clutter-free, safe sales floor with clear egress to exits.
• Treats customers and associates with respect and courtesy; remains friendly and professional.
• Assists customers at the register and with merchandise; greets customers with eye contact and a friendly hello.
• Responds promptly to Customer Service calls and escalates to Store Leadership when needed.
• Represents and supports the Ross brand at all times.
• Performs cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping) and replenishes restrooms.
• Maintains professional appearance and adheres to dress code.
• Performs daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat and merchandised to standards.
• Expedites received merchandise to the floor and maintains brand familiarity across departments.
• Follows Loss Prevention policies and protects confidential information.
• Executes MOS processes and notifies leadership for disposals.
• Handles cash, checks, card transactions, refunds with accuracy.
• Demonstrates urgency to maximize productivity and follow store best practices.
