Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store stocked and organized.

The role emphasizes customer service, sales efficiency, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for guests and teammates. Part-time position with duties across merchandising and daily store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform repetitive lifting and physical duties.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
