Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain store cleanliness and stock. This role emphasizes safety, courtesy, and efficient service in a retail setting.

Part-time position with responsibilities including unloading merchandise, replenishment, and collaboration with team members to ensure a tidy, welcoming store environment for customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong customer service, relationship management, and communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned*.
