Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, manage cash transactions, stock shelves, and help with unloading trucks while ensuring store cleanliness and safety.

This role emphasizes friendly customer interactions and reliable daily duties in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time positions are available at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform repetitive lifting while walking/standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions on the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
