Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, strong communication skills, and a focus on safety and customer service. This is a part-time position with opportunities to support store operations and engage with customers and leaders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
