Job summary

Michaels is hiring for a store associate in Modesto, CA. You will help customers locate products, provide solutions, and ensure a fast checkout experience with proper cash handling.

You’ll engage shoppers in the Rewards program and enroll private label credit card signups while supporting omni-channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, maintaining planograms, and ensuring store recovery and in-stock quality.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the rewards program and credit card enrollments.
• Assist with omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Support store recovery, in-stock maintenance, and merchandise return/go back processes.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and ad set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; interact respectfully with customers and team members.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
