Job summary

Micro Center is opening a new Santa Clara store and is seeking Retail Computer Technicians who can diagnose and repair computers while delivering exceptional customer service.

Role involves service counter consultations, product recommendations, and hands-on repairs. Must have strong communication, be able to multitask, and be willing to work flexible hours. Benefits include comprehensive coverage and 401K, with competitive pay and commission opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; one-year related computer service repair or technical customer service experience preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification, Apple ACMT and ACiT certifications or ability to certify within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, anti-virus, extended warranties, and subscriptions.
• Identify and diagnose hardware or software problems on various devices including desktops, laptops, mobiles, TVs, and monitors.
• Assemble custom computers via BYO sales team.
