Job summary

Micro Center is seeking self-motivated Retail Computer Technicians with a passion for computers and a track record of excellent customer service. The role starts at $15/hour base pay with productivity incentives to raise hourly rates to $18–$35 plus SPIFFs.

You’ll split time between the service counter and the shop, diagnosing devices and guiding customers through repair status and service options. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, and certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Apple

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred with related computer service repair or tech customer service experience.
• CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications or ability to certify within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and adjust priorities.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
• Shifts include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, antivirus, extended warranties, and subscriptions.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, mobiles, TVs and monitors.
• Assemble custom computers for BYO sales.
• Use manuals and vendor resources; maintain certifications and stay updated on products.
