Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a cashier for our Nappanee, IN location. You will operate the cash register and scanner to itemize purchases, accept payment, and assist in bagging while delivering courteous customer service.

Responsibilities include processing various payment methods, weighing and bagging items, maintaining a clean check-stand, promoting store programs, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases and total customers' orders.
• Process transactions including cash, checks, credit, EBT, loyalty cards, coupons, and rain checks.
• Weigh and bag items; ensure proper PLU usage and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain front-end duties and keep the check-stand clean and stocked; communicate in-store programs and specials.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and PPE guidelines and support other departments as needed.
