Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases.
• Handle products including dry groceries, dairy, produce, poultry, and more.
• Process transactions (cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, coupons) accurately.
• Weigh and bag customer purchases.
• Understand and use check-stand equipment (register, scanner, scale, belts).
• Assist with front-end duties such as merchandising check-stand items.
• Ensure correct pricing and signage, report pricing errors.
• Maintain knowledge of store programs and product locations.
• Communicate store programs and promotions to customers and maintain high service standards.
• Follow company policies on security, cash handling, product handling, and sale of regulated items.
• Keep department clean and stocked; comply with safety and sanitation procedures.
• May assist with stocking items in other departments as needed.
• Follow PPE, safety, and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned other tasks based on needs.
