Job summary

SpartanNash in Elkhart, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to operate cash registers and scanning equipment, itemize purchases, and assist customers at the front end of the store.

You will weigh and bag items, handle various payment methods, and maintain a clean, well-stocked department in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior retail experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases and process payments.
• Bag purchases and maintain front-end cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate store programs, promotions and coupons to customers.
• Assist with stocking items and maintaining product locations.
• Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation and PPE rules.
• Support other departments as needed.
