Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Jonesboro, GA to support the Store Manager in daily operations and staff supervision. You will hire, train, motivate and supervise associates, lead team meetings, and strive to meet customer and donor satisfaction while upholding company standards.

You'll manage displays, merchandising, and cash handling per policy, and work toward achieving budgeted financial performance.

Qualifications

2+ years experience supervising 15+ employees in food services, manufacturing, production or retail (or 1 year with Goodwill training).
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics plus 1 year of supervisory experience in logistics, retail, warehouse, fast food, restaurants, B2B or similar.
Or 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience in lieu of other requirements.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Proficient with PCs, POS systems, and MS Office apps.
Driver’s license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist Store Manager in hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff.
Lead meetings, help the store meet customer and donor satisfaction standards, maintain displays and merchandising.
Ensure cash handling per policy and drive the store toward meeting or exceeding budgeted financial performance.
Ongoing training is provided and opportunities to transfer to other stores as you progress.
