Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help the Store Manager run daily operations and lead a team of staff and volunteers.

You’ll hire, train, motivate and supervise employees, aim for excellent customer service and donor satisfaction, and ensure merchandising and cash handling follow policy while working toward budgeted performance. This is a hands-on position requiring weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervising 15+ employees in multiple settings or 1 year supervision with Goodwill training.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year supervisory experience in logistics, retail, or related industry.
• 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience in lieu of other requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience operating personal computers and various software packages including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff.
• Lead meetings and help the store meet customer and donor satisfaction standards.
• Maintain displays and merchandising presentations; ensure cash handling per policy and drive toward budgeted performance.
