Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the United States to lead a high-performing team and drive sales while ensuring exceptional customer service. You will support store operations, payroll, inventory management, and compliance with alcohol regulations, all while fostering a knowledgeable and welcoming store atmosphere.

The role requires 2+ years in a supervisory retail capacity, familiarity with POS and inventory software, and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 2+ years of managerial or supervisory retail experience.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team; develop product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink management.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving customer issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to alcohol laws and a safe, compliant store environment.
