Job summary

Assistant Store Manager at Lids Sports Group oversees daily store operations, drives sales, and leads a team to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and coaching staff, maintaining merchandise presentation, and ensuring adherence to company policies and standards. The role reports to the Store Manager and supports achieving KPIs and a positive store culture.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc. when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs, goal setting for sales and tasks, and regular follow-up.
• Administer the progressive steps of discipline to include verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a productive environment and helping them understand how their work supports company objectives.
• Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by adhering to Lids Brand Standards and policies.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates for peaks when needed.
• Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations, ensuring issues are addressed in the moment.
• Maintain professional appearance per Dress Code Policy and ensure store cleanliness.
• Execute operations directives from HQ and keep store technology and equipment maintained.
