Job summary

The Assistant Store Manager at Lids Sports Group drives sales growth by delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining visual standards across the store. You coach associates, monitor KPI progress, and model a professional appearance according to policy.

In a fast-paced retail environment you will assist with scheduling, manage inventory, participate in receiving and pricing, and ensure a clean, well-presented storefront. Strong communication and leadership are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to drive retail sales while minimizing loss.
• Clear, professional verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn retail software and POS systems.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead service behaviors to produce sales gains and support KPIs.
• Deliver documented feedback on sales performance, recognizing strengths and coaching opportunities.
• Set expectations aligned with Company objectives and follow up for results.
• Model professionalism including adherence to the Company Dress Code Policy.
• Protect Company assets by following policies and best practices.
• Assist with scheduling to provide coverage within wage guidelines.
• Manage inventory processes including receiving, transfers, price changes, and counts with accurate documentation.
• Open and close the store per the Operations Manual and maintain records consistent with policy and law.
