Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, and repetitive motions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged items, and handle record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas neat, stocked, and secure assets including cash.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean; restock as needed; remove trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
