Big Lots in Somerset, KY is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in running the store to meet company goals. You will help hire, train, and develop staff while ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

You will perform opening/closing, protect assets, maintain the stockroom and sales floor, and supervise hourly team members when the manager is away. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifikationen

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Aufgaben

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Open and close procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates and supervisors.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards, including recovery.
• Direct supervisory responsibility for hourly Team Members when the Store Manager is not on site.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise and freight flow.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and maintain merchandise needs.
